Little Dreamers in the Newspaper PDF Print E-mail

Little Dreamers was lucky enough to be featured in both the Caulfield and Bayside Leader Newspapers yesterday (13th September). This article was in response to the rejection we received from the ATO regarding our DGR status application. Unfortunately the ATO has responded saying that as an organisation we do not support the right group of people. If you would like to help us combat this issue send us an email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) explaining why you think that the ATO has made the wrong decision. We can then use your wonderful responses as evidence to show the ATO why their decision was wrong.

Thank-you for all your support!

Sibling & Young Carer Statistics you may not know PDF Print E-mail
Written by Little Dreamers
Monday, 21 February 2011 20:46

Approximately 10% of people ages 15-25 are carers in Australia.

Out of 822,000 15-17 year olds, 3000 solely care for their unwell parent or sibling.

In Australia, there are over 200,000 people under the age of 18 with a severe disability.

There are over double that with chronic illnesses. Over 2/3 of those people have at least 1 brother or sister.

These are the unknown statistics of the forgotten family members. This is why Little Dreamers is here. Please support Little Dreamers in any way you feel possible. Whether it is through providing a Dream Pack to those in need, volunteering or giving a donation we would love your help.

Don't ignore the forgotten children.
